WKU Student Research Conference

WKU’s 45th Annual Student Research Conference is being held tomorrow, March 28th, in the Downing Student Union to wrap up REACH Week. Whether undergraduate or graduate, from main or regional campuses, students of various disciplines are able to partake in showcasing their research. Poster and oral presentations will be taking place from 8 AM – 3PM tomorrow. The Conference Agenda can be found here.

Some of our very own contributors – Mallory Schnell, Zack Leasor, Tyler Smith, and Jacob Wilkins- will be presenting research at the conference tomorrow. The students’ topics of research are as follows:

 

Mallory Schnell – A case study analysis of the 4-5 December 2002 severe ice storm across the southeastern United States

Zack Leasor – The potential influence of cyclogenesis and precipitation banding on winter storms: A local-scale analysis of the heavy snow received in southern Indiana during the December 22-23, 2004 Ohio Valley Winter Storm

Tyler Smith – Teleconnective Analysis Of Winter-season Variability In The Ohio Valley

Jacob Wilkins – A local analysis of the historic lake-effect snow event in Buffalo, NY during November 2014
