Friday’s Bowling Green Weather Update

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Increasing Clouds; Chilly – High 46º / Tonight – Mostly Cloudy; Cold — Low 32º

3pm 46º – 6pm 38º – 9pm 36º – 12am 35º – 3am 33º – 6am 32º

It’s been a gorgeous end to the work week as plenty of sunshine has prevailed across southern Kentucky. Highs managed to climb into the mid 40’s for the area despite light winds from our northwest.

Nonetheless surface high pressure will dominate our region’s weather through tonight while keeping us dry. However, clouds will increase from our west before engulfing much of the Commonwealth by tonight. In return look for cloudy and cold conditions for Bowling Green weather as lows dip right around the freezing mark.

Sat – Mostly Cloudy; Seasonable – High 49º / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy; Cold – Low 35º

The first part of the weekend will remain calm weather-wise as a dirty high pressure remains in control of the region. Dirty high pressure you ask? Yes, because unfortunately we’ll see more cloud cover hang around throughout the day as mostly cloudy skies take over again. Despite the clouds, look for highs to remain on the seasonable side with temperatures in the upper 40’s.

Nothing changes by Saturday night with cloudy skies slated to stay put. Temperatures will be cold once again as thermometer readings dip into the mid 30’s.

Sun – Mostly Cloudy; Cool – High 51º / Sun Night – Mostly Cloudy; Cold – Low 37º

The drying trend will continue into the weekend as temperatures remain on the cooler side. Overcast conditions will be a good bet throughout the day as highs reach the lower 50’s. Rather comfortable when compared to the low-mid 40’s we’ve had early on this week. Regardless, our weather remains on the quiet side for much of Sunday/Sunday night. Otherwise, lows drop into the upper 30’s.

By early next week, we’ll keep an eye on a low pressure system that will gather some steam and work across the Mid-Mississippi Valley. This system will bring rain chances into the forecast Monday night/early Tuesday morning. As of now, this doesn’t look like a washout but will provide some lighter precipitation amounts. Temperatures hang tough in the upper 40’s, lower 50’s during this period.
