Wednesday’s Bowling Green Weather Update

Not a whole lot has changed for our weather today as overcast skies have prevailed while chilly conditions continue. Highs have struggled to reach the lower 40’s this afternoon with light northwesterly winds around 5-10 mph. Otherwise, look for the low stratus cloud deck to hang around through tonight and into early Thursday morning. Lows will be colder as temperatures drop into the upper 20’s for Bowling Green weather.

Thu – Decreasing Clouds; Cool – High 44º / Thu Night – Mostly Clear; Cold – Low 27º

Finally, the pesky cloud cover will begin breaking up as sunshine makes a welcomed return to southern Kentucky. Winds will remain from our northwest while keeping our temperatures on the chilly side. Highs will flirt with the mid 40’s as mostly sunny skies take over by Thursday afternoon.

Surface high pressure will continue its descent from the upper Midwest while slowly meandering across the Ohio Valley Region. In return, look for mostly clear skies and calming winds as lows drop into the upper 20’s.

 

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 48º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy; Cold – Low 34º

As we look to wrap up another work week, we’ll do so on a chilly, but warmer note. The aforementioned surface high pressure will hover around the region while keeping sunshine in the forecast. Temperatures will gradually warm up starting Friday as highs reach the upper 40’s for Bowling Green weather.

A few fair weather clouds will be possible throughout our Friday while partly cloudy skies take over Friday night. The good news is we’ll stay dry for this period and much of the weekend. Lows will drop into the lower 30’s Friday night before highs rebound into the lower 50’s by the weekend.
