Cloudy and warmer conditions have dominated our Monday while winds have been breezy at times from the south. This low-level southerly flow has allowed afternoon temperatures to surge into the lower 50’s.
The main headlines for this afternoon and tonight will be a weak, moisture starved cold front that is expected slide through the region. This relatively weak cold front will only bring a chance for a shower or two across southern Kentucky at best. Otherwise, look for another cold and cloudy night as temperatures drop into the middle 30’s for lows.

Not a whole lot happens weather-wise for our Tuesday. The aforementioned cold front will continue its march towards the eastern coast while clearing the state by the morning hours. Winds will remain from our NW while ushering in a much colder air mass. In return, highs will only reach the mid 30’s Tuesday afternoon under mostly cloudy skies.

The evening and overnight period will feature more clouds (you guessed it) and cold temperatures. Lows will dip into the lower 30’s for Bowling Green weather.

By mid-week, Mother Nature will serve up another chilly day. However, we should see pesky cloud cover begin to break as upper level ridging closes in across the Ohio Valley Region. Temperatures will still be on the struggle bus as highs only reach the lower 40’s despite the partial sunshine we’re expected to see.
Northwest winds will continue during this period as colder air remains in place. Because of this, lows will drop into the upper 20’s for southern Kentucky under partly cloudy skies.
