For the first part of our holiday weekend, a low pressure system will gather some steam across the Midwest while swinging a warm front across the area. This feature will kick up our winds from the southwest around 10-15 mph as much warmer air streams northward. Highs Saturday afternoon will jump into the mid, even upper 50’s here in southern Kentucky despite the  cloudy skies.

While a few isolated-scattered showers will be possible throughout the day, this system will actually bring better rain chances into Sunday as the cold front swings through the state. Otherwise, look for mostly cloudy skies overnight with mild temperatures in the lower 50’s.
