Bowling Green Weather Temps Crashing Down

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 10/27 – Partly Cloudy – High 86° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 64°

A warm front associated with a broad low pressure system located to our northwest will continue to lift north out of the region today. Temperatures will warm quite a bit as our winds shift out of the south. It will be borderline hot today so break out the shorts and tee shirts once more. Highs will be around 86° under partly cloudy skies. Winds will remain out of the south around 10 mph.

Clouds may increase in front of an advancing cold front that will impact the area tomorrow. Lows will be around 64°. Wind will be out of the south around 10 mph.

Tuesday 10/28 – Rainy – High 76° / Tue Night – Scattered Showers – Low 50°

On Tuesday the aforementioned cold front will make its way into the region. At this time, the timing of the front looks like Tuesday afternoon. Because of this, I expect a majority of the instability will remain low across the area. Thus, widespread showers are expected with perhaps some embedded thunder. Wind fields aloft are fairly strong, so a very isolated strong thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. However, expect mostly just heavy rain showers. Highs will be in the mid 70s. Wind will be out of the south around 10 mph, shifting to out of the northwest after the frontal passage. Below is forecast radar imagery by 1 PM Tuesday.

We should expect rain showers to decrease in coverage and intensity in the evening and overnight hours as the front races to the east of the region. Lows will hover right around 50° due to fairly thick cloud cover. Wind should become calm as the front moves east.

Wednesday 10/29 – Partly Cloudy – High 64° / Wed Night – Clear – Low 37°

High pressure will move into the region as the frontal system passes off to the east. Thus, generally will expect clearing conditions for your Wednesday. The front certainly did its damage on the high temperatures though as we’ll see highs struggle to reach the mid 60s once more.

On Wednesday night high pressure will move closer to the region depleting moisture in the region. Thus, mostly clear skies are expected with lows in the mid to upper 30s.

That should wrap it up for this post. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX for the latest Bowling Green weather news. Have a great day!
