It’s been a gorgeous day across southern Kentucky as we look to wrap up another work week. The pesky low pressure system lifted northeastward last night allowing skies to finally clear. In return, expect plenty of sunshine through the remainder of your afternoon with pleasant temperatures in the mid-upper 70’s.
This evening, a weak moisture-starved cold front will track across the Commonwealth bringing some cloud cover and a reinforcing shot of cooler air. Look for partly cloudy conditions through the overnight period with chilly lows in the upper 40’s.

The aforementioned cold front will quickly clear the state by Saturday morning. However, look for a few clouds to stick around through the afternoon hours as temperatures cool off into the lower 60’s. Otherwise, Mother Nature deals us another gorgeous Fall day for Bowling Green weather as surface high pressure builds in from our west.
The calm and cool start to the weekend will persist into the overnight period. Any cloud cover across the area will mix out as mostly clear skies prevail. With high pressure nosing in from the west and calming winds, expect a cold night for south central Kentucky. Lows will dip into the upper 30’s with some isolated mid 30’s possible in the valley areas.

By Sunday morning, surface high pressure will situate itself across Kentucky as another beautiful day will be anticipated. We’ll see plenty of sunshine across the area as the second half of the weekend looks phenomenal.
Highs will be on the cool side as temperatures struggle the reach the lower 60’s with overnight lows right around 40 degrees. Regardless, conditions this weekend will be absolutely perfect for any outdoor plans, festivals, etc. That only means one thing; you better get outside and enjoy it!
