Despite the dreary, overcast conditions we’ve had today, at least the rainfall has pushed to our east. However, temperatures have struggled due the extensive cloud cover keeping highs in the low-mid 60’s. Good news is on the way, don’t you worry!
The remainder of this afternoon and evening will feature some partial clearing as that stubborn upper level low finally lifts northeastward. In return, look for skies to eventually clear out through tonight as conditions set up to be a chilly one. Overnight temperatures will bottom out in the upper 40’s.

The end of the work week will have an exceptional ending. Mostly sunny skies will prevail for much of the day as winds turn from the south. These southerly winds will help our temperatures climb into the mid, even upper 70’s across Bowling Green as a nice drying trend settles in.
Ohhh yeahhh….
By Friday evening, a moisture starved cold front will quickly work across the Ohio Valley Region. The key words here are moisture starved. While no rainfall is expected with the frontal passage, a few clouds will be. Cloud cover will move in late Friday night before clearing by Saturday morning. Otherwise, look for another chilly night with lows in the upper 40’s.

As we head into the first part of the weekend, the nice Fall weather will persist. The aforementioned cold front will clear southern Kentucky and continue pushing eastward by Saturday morning. Most cloud cover will be off to our north and east for folks in Central and Eastern Kentucky. Therefore, look for mostly sunny skies and a few fair-weather cumulus clouds by the afternoon hours.
High pressure will descend southeastward from our northwest by Saturday evening. Mostly clear and calm weather will win out as temperatures really drop off. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30’s for Bowling Green weather.
