Showers Persist For Bowling Green Weather

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Mostly Cloudy, Showers Likely – High 58º / Tonight – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Showers – Low 52º

3pm 58º – 6pm 55º – 9pm 54º – 12am 53º – 3am 52º – 6am 52º

The dreary and wet conditions continue for Bowling Green weather as a pesky cut-off upper level low slowly wobbles across the Ohio Valley Region. A weak surface trough will work across western and southern portions of the state this afternoon as scattered-numerous showers will break out.

In return, expect the damp and cool weather to persist throughout this evening before activity decreases in coverage tonight. Otherwise, look for a chilly October day as highs struggle to reach the upper 50’s with cool overnight lows in the lower 50’s.

Thu – Mostly Cloudy; Few Lingering Showers – High 62º / Thu Night – Gradual Clearing; Chilly – Low 48º

We’re not calling this system pesky for no reason. By Thursday morning a bulk of the shower activity should work east of south-central Kentucky. A few lingering showers will remain possible through mid-morning or so before the upper level low finally lifts towards the northeast. Unfortunately, we’ll be left with a good deal of cloud cover for much of the day. Once again, highs will be unseasonably cool as temps reach the lower 60’s.

“It’s ok….WxOrNotBG is here!”

And we have some good news for you! By Thursday evening, clouds will finally begin to break as skies clear out. Overnight temperatures will cool off into the upper 40’s as chilly conditions remain in place. A light jacket will definitely come in handy by early Friday morning.

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Very Nice  – High 75º / Fri Night – Mostly Clear; Calm & Cool – Low 48º

Now this is more like it. After a severe start to the week, followed by unseasonably cool and wet conditions, we wrap up the work week with a very nice day. Skies clear out as seasonable temperatures make a quick return. Yes, you noticed that didn’t you? Quick, you say? Correct. A weak, moisture starved cold front will slide through late Friday night and into Saturday.

With that said, we are not expecting any rainfall from this. A few clouds and a shot of cooler air will be our direct impacts from this cold front. Not bad, right? Look for mostly clear skies through Friday night as lows dip into the upper 40’s. High pressure will build in across the region by the weekend as dry and cool air prevails. Be sure to get and enjoy this wonderful weather if you can!
