Rain Lingers for Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 10/15 – Pesky Showers – High 60° / Tonight – Isolated Showers – Low 49°

I don’t know about you, but I experienced some of the most annoying rain yesterday. You know, the kind the feels more like someone “spraying it, not saying it” type. Yeah, we’ll see more of that today. The cutoff low pressure system will continue to wobble around the northeastern United States. This will wrap moisture around into this region. Thus, we’ll expect those pesky showers to stick around. Due to the showers and cloud cover, highs will struggle to hit 60° tomorrow.

Widespread showers will give way to more isolated showers as the moisture begins to depart from the region. You can expect lows to be around 50°.

Thursday 10/16 – Isolated Showers – High 63° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 46°

On Thursday the cutoff low will begin to move further away from the region. This will draw the moisture with it. Thus, we’ll continue to see rain chances diminish. Nevertheless, a few isolated showers are possible, especially during the morning hours. Highs will rebound a bit from today as we’ll see highs in the mid 60s under partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and evening. Shown in the meteogram below, there is pretty good agreement on the models for high temperatures to be in the low to mid 60s. Spoiler, check out Friday temperatures!

Ridging will move into the region behind the exiting low pressure system. This will bring some clearing to the region. Thus, partly cloudy skies overnight can be expected with a low of 46°.

Friday 10/17 – Partly Cloudy – High 73° / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 47°

A secondary, weak cold front will approach the region on Friday. The good news is we’ll warm up pretty substantially before the cold front can reach us. Also good news is the the cold front appears to be pretty moisture starved, so little to no precipitation is expected to come of it. Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day on Friday with afternoon highs reaching the mid 70s. Dr. Awesome from Chuck says, “That’s awesome!”

The cold front will move through the region during the evening hours which will help bring those low temperatures back down. Partly cloudy skies overnight with a low of 47°.
