We’ll see a brief break from the stormy weather today. High pressure will work into the region as the cold front moves to the south of the region. The high pressure will suppress any thunderstorm chances across the region. There will still be a bit of moisture in the air. Thus, partly cloudy skies can be expected by the afternoon hours with a high around 78°.
A few isolated showers and thunderstorms may form across the area during the overnight hours. This is in association with a warm front moving north across the region. Isolated showers and thunderstorms with a low of 52° will be the overnight forecast.
Thursday 10/9 – Scattered Thunderstorms – High 77° / Thur Night – Isolated Thunderstorms – Low 60°
The aforementioned warm front will likely bring a few thunderstorms back to the region on Thursday. Showers with a few rumbles of thunder will seem likely throughout the day as the warm front continues to move north through the region. Warm air will still be advecting into the region behind the cold front, thus the rain won’t hamper the warm temperatures too much. Expect a high of 77°.
Isolated thunderstorms will continue into the overnight hours on Thursday. Lows will be around 60°.
Friday 10/10 – Showers – High 74° / Fri Night – Showers – Low 56°
An area of low pressure will approach the region on Friday. This will continue our rain chances for the next several days. Instability will be in question on Friday, thus we’ll just stick with showers throughout the day. A rumble of thunder here and there can’t be ruled out. Highs will be in the mid 70s. This is your reaction when you realize this Friday forecast is not a joke.
Showers will likely continue into the overnight hours. Lows will be in the mid 50s.
