Upper level ridging will keep saturation to a minimum in the mid to upper levels. This means we’ll have mostly sunny skies across the region. Our warming trend will look to slowly continue, especially with the aforementioned ridging in place. Thus, you can expect afternoon highs to be quite warm once more with a high around 86°. Sounds like a good day for a run, just do it inside if it’s too hot for ya.

Clouds will be few and far between during the overnight hours. Lows will be around 54°.

Wednesday 10/1 – Mostly Clear – High 87° / Wed Night – Increasing Clouds – Low 59°

On Wednesday an upper level trough will begin to develop to the west of the region. This will put us in a southwesterly flow aloft. Temperatures and moisture will begin to increase throughout the day on Wednesday. Mostly clear skies will likely be the case as afternoon highs reach about 87°. Increasing clouds will be possible by evening.

A few clouds will likely develop during the overnight hours. These will be due to the increasing moisture into the region. Lows will be around 59°.

Thursday 10/2 – Partly Cloudy – High 86° / Thur Night – Scattered Thunderstorms – Low 65°

The upper level trough will continue to move close to the region on Thursday. A low pressure system will trek to the north of the area. This will leave a clod front draped to the west of the region. This cold front will move east with time. Thunderstorms will likely form along the cold front in the afternoon and evening hours to the west of the region. Partly cloudy skies seem plausible with a high of 86°.

Thunderstorms seem like a good bet for the region on Thursday night as the cold front makes its passage across the area. A few storms may pack a punch with heavy rain and vivid lightning being the main threats. The main threat of severe weather should remain west of the Bowling Green area. Lows will be in the mid 60s. Yep, the cold front will kick the warm weather packing. Say it ain’t so!
