Some severe weather impacted the state of Arizona this afternoon and evening. Afternoon storms brought heavy rain, vivid lightning, and some damaging winds to the region. People took to Twitter to post shots of the storms and the damage they left behind. Arizona severe storms aren’t too common, however severe weather there generally peaks in the late summer months.
