Today 9/16 – AM Showers; Mostly Cloudy – High 72° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 50°
We’re waking up to some isolated showers across the region this morning. This is in association with a cold front that is moving across the area. This cold front will cause clouds to stick across the region for most of the day. The clouds and cold front will also knock temperatures back a bit as we’ll only see a high of 72°.
High pressure will begin to work into the region on Tuesday night behind the cold front. This will help break up cloud cover a bit to partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will be around 50°.
Wednesday 9/17 – Partly Cloudy – High 74° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 54°
High pressure will be centered to the north over the region. This will make the weather on Wednesday feel pretty nice outside. Morning sunshine will likely give way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. Be sure to get out and enjoy the day since there is not much to complain about!
Wednesday night will bring partly cloudy skies to the region overnight. Lows will warm up a few degrees compared to tonight. Lows on Wednesday night will be right around 54°.
Thursday 9/18 – Partly Cloudy – High 76° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 55°
Thursday will likely start off with cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions. Cloud cover should decrease across the region throughout the day as drier air aloft begins to move in place across the region. Thus, partly cloudy to mostly clear skies can be expected across the region in the afternoon and evening hours. An upper level ridge will begin working into the region, which will help increase those highs to the mid and upper 70s.
Thursday night will likely bring partly cloudy conditions overnight. Calm weather is in store with lows in the mid 50s expected across south central Kentucky.
