According to an rgj article, several children were transported to the hospital for minor burns. The explosion also led to the evacuation of the museum.

“A minor explosion during a science experiment at a children’s museum in Reno has burned several children and forced the evacuation of the museum.

Reno Fire Chief Mike Hernandez says six children, and possibly eight, were taken to a Reno hospital with what he described as minor to moderate burns shortly after the explosion about 4 p.m. Wednesday.”

The article goes on to mention the museum itself did not sustain any damage from the event.
