Bowling Green Weather for Sunday

Bowling Green Weather

Real-time Radar:

Today 8/31 – Rain and Thunderstorms Likely – High 81° // Tonight – Scattered Showers & T’Storms – Low 69°

6am 71º – 9am 76º – 12pm 80º – 3pm 81º – 6pm 79º

Good Sunday morning everyone. Well, it looks like we broke that monthly rainfall record for August yesterday, and the totals will likely climb some more today as well. Another round of showers and storms are expected today with southwesterly flow continuing to push moisture over our area. Expected scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs in the low 80s overall.

This evening and tonight will bare good chance for continued precipitation coverage as suggested by model guidance. At some point, however, moist of this rain should push its way out of the area overnight. Expect a low around 69 and patchy fog possible in some areas.

Monday 9/1 – Lingering Showers & T’Storms – High 89° // Monday Night – Isolated Showers & T’Storms– Low 72°

Other than some lingering isolated showers and thunderstorms, most of the precipitation activity should have moved northeast and out of the area. Other than that, the trough of low pressure is expected to fire off convection to our northwest in the upper Mississippi Valley, well out of our concern. SO, with any luck and sunshine, Labor Day may turn out pretty decent and let us dry out a bit.

Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the day and highs in the upper 80s and possibly near 90 in some areas depending on the cloud cover situation.

Monday evening and night will be hit and miss overall, the threat for an isolated shower or storm remains, but overall pretty good weather wise. Expect lows in the low 70s.

Tuesday 9/2 – Isolated Showers & T’Storms – High 90° // Tuesday Night – Isolated Showers & T’Storms– Low 72°

Jet stream dynamics will continue to push into the Ohio Valley by Tuesday and aid the development of showers and storms throughout the day. Guidance has a large cyclone well north into Canada and an extending front draping across the Great lakes and to our northwest. This should setup a linear fashioned area of precipitation Tuesday afternoon.

Notice the trough to our north and the position of the expected areas of showers and storms. Overall, expect highs near 90 and the chance for afternoon showers and storms in our area.

Tuesday evening and night to cool to the low 70s once again with any lingering precipitation decreasing in coverage.
