Good Friday morning everybody. Looks like a quiet day is in store weather wise as we have an area of high pressure providing stable atmospheric conditions. We should see mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid and upper 80s across the region. Here’s our surface map for 1pm today:

This evening and tonight looks great with calm conditions and partly cloudy skies, lows in the low 60s. Hassle and stress free.

Saturday 8/16 – Mostly Sunny– High 89° // Saturday Night – Partly Cloudy– Low 67°

The start to the weekend is looking great with Saturday being another great weather day. Southerly winds are expected to kick in and warm us up a bit and we could be knocking on the door of 90 degrees for a high. No complaints here. You’re welcome.

Can’t rule out a stray shower Saturday night, but otherwise, another calm night with lows in the upper 60s.

Sunday 8/17 – Isolated T’Storms– High 92° // Sunday Night – Scattered Showers and T’Storms– Low 72°

Continued southerly flow will help get us above the 90 degree mark on Sunday. That being said though, NAM and GFS both agree on a shortwave trough entering the Ohio Valley which will enhance precipitation probabilities throughout the day. Early on, scattered showers are possible with the initial energy moving into the area. Another round of cattered showers and storms are possible in the evening time frame as well.

Overall, expect highs in the low 90s and a decent chance of the wet stuff for now. Here’s a map, GFS 700mb heights and winds, illustrating this well:

Sunday evening and night should be watched, as said earlier, as storms are still possible with the dynamics that will be in place. Just keep and eye on the radar if you have any outdoor plans. Lows should be in the lower 70s.

Stay tuned for updated forecasts if Sunday is an important day to you.

That sums it up for now, folks. Be sure to stay up to date with all your real time Bowling Green weather info @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter. Have a great Friday!
