Another Nice Day For Bowling Green Weather

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Regional Radar:

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny, Pleasant – High 83º / Tonight – Mostly Clear, Cool – Low 57º

3pm 83º – 6pm 78º – 9pm 68º – 12am 63º – 3am 60º – 6am 57º

It’s been a gorgeous day across Bowling Green and much of southern Kentucky. Conditions this afternoon have felt more like mid-September than mid-August. Trust me, no complaints on my end. Highs today have reached the lower 80’s this afternoon as surface high pressure continues to build in from our west.

All in all, today shapes up to be a nice one with an even better evening on tap. Temperatures will drop into the 70’s providing a good chance to catch up on some of that forever ending yard work, or perhaps a walk around the block. Either way you dice it, get out and enjoy it. Lows will be cool once again as temperatures drop into the upper 50’s under clear skies.

I promise. This is not a joke!

Thu – Sunny; Beautiful – High 85º / Thu Night – Mostly Clear; Chilly – Low 58º

Not a whole lot of change occurs by Thursday. Surface high pressure will continue its eastward progression across the Ozarks and into western Kentucky by the evening hours. In return, another beautiful day will be expected as highs manage to climb a couple degrees warmer.

Despite the warmer thermometer readings, dewpoint temperatures will remain in the upper 50’s to right around 60º. This will help keep those humid conditions under control once again. Otherwise, look for another great evening and overnight as skies remain clear with lows dipping into the upper 50’s.

As honey boo boo would say….

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 88º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy, Mild – Low 65º

The aforementioned surface high pressure will keep a grip on the Commonwealth another day. However, high pressure will begin to weaken and work eastward towards the mid-Atlantic. Winds will begin to shift from our east-southeast helping bump our temperatures up to more seasonable numbers.

Despite the cool start to the day, highs will soar into the upper 80’s as dewpoint temperatures climb into the lower 60’s. This will bring a slightly muggy feel to air as this trend will continue into the weekend. Overall, Friday shapes up to be a great day with plenty of sunshine and warmth. Overnight lows will be a tad warmer with temperatures in the mid 60’s under partly cloudy skies.
