Bowling Green Weather Wednesday Update

Today’s weather will be much like yesterday’s weather. However, more clouds may accompany today than yesterday. This is because there is a small shortwave moving in to the back side of the trough we’re in. However, this won’t disrupt our weather that much. Expect partly cloudy skies with a high around 83° today.

Surface ridging will move into the region tonight in the way of high pressure, which will diminish cloud cover. Expect partly cloudy skies with lows around 60°.

Thursday 7/31 – Partly Cloudy – High 86° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 62°

On Thursday we’ll lose some of our upper level wind support from the the northwest. This means temperatures will begin to rise once more. Moisture will also be moving into the region. However, no rain is expected with partly cloudy skies once again being the case. Highs will be in the mid 80s across the Bowling Green area. It’s like the forecast is chasing its own tail, just going in circles.

On Thursday night some of our cloud cover may once again diminish from the lack of heat. Thus, partly cloudy to mostly clear skies are expected with a low of 62°.

Friday 8/1 – Isolated Showers – High 88° / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 65°

Yes! It’s the Friday forecast, which means the weekend is in sight. Friday, we’ll have another shortwave entering the base of the trough. This will lift some of the warm air over the region. Lift is what creates cloud cover and precipitation. Thus, we can expect some isolated showers and thunderstorms to form on Friday. Coverage should remain limited. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

On Friday night you can expect some of those thunderstorms to die off since we lose energy from the sun. Partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s.
