The past couple of days have been fairly active with thunderstorm activity across the central and eastern United States. Take a look at storm reports across the region, courtesy NOAA SPC:
Yesterday we saw a weakening thunderstorm complex pass through Bowling Green, you can see it’s history of producing wind damage before it entered our area.
Toady the severe weather decided to spare us.
If you blend those two pictures together it’s pretty clear to see how the trough axis is moving across the region. Here’s an example I posted yesterday on Twitter:
