Highs will remain on the warm side as temperatures reach the upper 80’s once again. Partly sunny skies will win out for the remainder of the afternoon and evening as cooler and drier air begins to filter in. Preach it.

Yes, what you read above is correct. This isn’t some sort of sick joke either. High pressure will dive southeastward across the Ohio Valley Region while ushering in much cooler and drier air. Afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the lower 80’s under mostly sunny skies.

A few clouds will work across southern Kentucky by the evening and overnight hours as partly cloudy skies take over. Lows will be cool, perhaps chilly as thermometer readings drop near the 60 degree mark.

Fri – Mostly Sunny; Gorgeous – High 81º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy; Cool – Low 58º

The comfortable weather will continue into our Friday as Independence day shapes up to be a beauty. Temperatures will reach the lower 80’s once again under mostly sunny skies making for a perfect day for all those holiday festivities.

Skies will remain mostly clear throughout the evening and overnight hours as temperatures drop into the upper 50’s. If you’re out and about later Friday night, a light jacket might come in handy. Wait, a light jacket?! Yes, that’s right.
