WKU Storm Chase Update

Good afternoon, we were able to do some chasing in the Dakotas yesterday although there wasn’t much in the way of severe storms to chase. Nevertheless, we were right on the few storms that did manage to pop up yesterday. After having lunch in North Dakota, we watched a broken line of storms fire right over us in Bowman, North Dakota and grow even though they stayed sub-severe.

These storms diminished pretty rapidly so we headed down to South Dakota to catch an amazing lightning display right around sunset.

We stayed in Spearfish, South Dakota last night and we are spending today touring the Badlands area since there are not many storms to chase today. Tomorrow looks promising for out final chase day so be sure to follow @wkustormchase on Twitter for the latest updates.
