The WKU Storm Chase class has just departed from Bowling Green on a 14 day trek across the Great Plains in search of the most dangerous weather conditions in the country. Their primary focus, taking what they’ve learned in the classroom and applying it to forecasting severe weather.
However, it doesn’t stop there…They also want to see the severe weather firsthand. Over the last few years, the class has seen several tornadoes as well as become internationally recognized. When the 14 day trip concludes, there will be a 2 week evaluation spent in the classroom talking about the findings of their trip to the Plains.
Good luck to @wkustormchase as they venture out W for 2+ weeks of hands on severe weather analysis & forecasting. Give them a follow!
