A cold front will wobble at a snail’s pace southeast across the region today.  Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-15mph.

Surface Model Valid 7am

This cold front will meet up with depleted moisture, firing off scattered showers & storms.  Although a few light showers will be possible this morning, the best chance at seeing the wet stuff will from mid afternoon through late evening.  Not all of us will see rain.

Severe weather will not be a concern.  Lingering leftover showers will make way to partly cloudy skies tonight.

The latest QPF model output suggests we could see up to .25-.50″ of rain today.  If you see rain, it won’t be much:

QPF Valid through 7pm Saturday

Sat – Partly Sunny, Iso’d PM Showers – High 77˚ / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 58˚

Our weekend should start out beautifully.  What’s leftover of the diminishing cold front will stall out as it retreats to our north.  This could give us a few hit & miss light showers during the afternoon.

I recommend spending your Saturday outdoors.  Remember… safety first.

Sun – Partly Sunny – High 79˚ / Sun Night – Scat’d Storms – Low 62˚

Sunday… another nice one.  Highs in the upper 70s (perhaps 80˚) will be ushered by partly to mostly sunny skies.

Sunday night, an area of low pressure will track toward the Great Lakes, dragging an affiliated cold front east toward the area.

PWAT model valid 1am Mon

This could result in scattered thunderstorms late, with a more significant chance at widespread showers & storms not arriving until Monday.
