Warmup Arrives

giff

It may have been a short work week, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s FRIDAY!

Today 12/27 – Sunny & Warmer – High 52˚ / Tonight – Clear – Low 29˚

6am 23˚ ~ 9am 36˚ ~ 12pm 48˚ ~ 3pm 52˚ ~ 6pm 45˚ ~ 9pm 38˚

High pressure will maintain control for another day.  Southwest winds of 5-10mph will help take temperatures into the lower 50s under sunny skies.  We like this, don’t we Jon?

Sat – Partly Sunny & Mild – High 57˚ / Sat Night- Scat’d Showers – Low 34˚

Skies should remain partly to mostly sunny for the most part.  Cloud cover will begin to increase late afternoon & evening, as moisture increases across the area.  Not expecting much, just sporadic, light showers through the night, as low pressure churns up the east coast.  Not everyone will see rain.

Sun – Scat’d Showers – High 46˚ / Sun Night – Iso’d Snow Showers – Low 25˚

Moisture will remain in place across the area, as a cold front approaches from our northwest.  The NAM simulated radar below is valid for 12am Sunday morning.  It illustrates moisture approaching south central Kentucky from the south.

Plummeting temperatures on the backside of this boundary will provide the potential for light snow showers as we get into Sunday night.

That will be all for now, folks.  I’ll return when necessary with another update.  Until next time, stay in touch with me @Wx_Or_Not.  Have questions?  Send them there.  Have a great one.
