Tornado Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch (red box/lining on the image above) until 1am CDT for the ENTIRE viewing area.  A thin ribbon of instability is approaching south central Kentucky, raising concerns regarding the potential for cells capable of meeting severe criteria.  They could potentially produce tornado spin-ups along the leading edge of convection.  With the current parameters in place, lightning and thunder may be lacking.

Do not let this deceive you, as the motion (rotation) of the atmosphere, referred to in the Meteorological world asdynamics, will be alive and kicking.  This will make tornado spin-ups a very real possibility.  Stay connected with me via Facebook and Twitter for the remainder of the evening.  Stay safe, and have a great night.
