Fog Early, Followed By Sunshine

"...cause it's FRY-DAY!!"

Today – Mostly Sunny – High 68 / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 45

**Dense Fog Advisory until 9am CDT**

7am 43 ~ 10am 56 ~ 1pm 65 ~ 4pm 68

Rays of sunshine will return to the forecast for another day, with light, southerly winds allowing highs to rebound to near 70 degrees.  We have a dense fog advisory in place, so all of you early commuters allow extra time to make it into work.  Below is a look at the current surface model:

All in all, after the fog gets out of our hair, it will be a very nice day to end the work week.  A cold front will approach the area from the west as we get into the night, causing an increase in our cloud coverage.  Nevertheless, high school football fans, dress warm for Friday Night Lights!  Temps looks to drop quickly after sunset.

Sat – Partly Cloudy, Scat’d Showers – High 62 / Sat Night – Clear – Low 40

7am 46 ~ 10am 53 ~ 1pm 58 ~ 4pm 62

Moisture will be available as a weak cold front works across the region, keeping a isolated/scattered showers in the forecast.  Forcing looks to remain well to our north, meaning partly  cloudy skies should accompany the better part of south central Kentucky.  This front will provide another shot at cool air, limiting highs for the weekend to around 60 degrees.

Park outings, reunions, and cookouts get the “go ahead” from me, however, a rain jacket and warm clothes are recommended if you plan on being outdoors.  I would also recommend having an available place to go indoors.  The showers are expected to remain scattered, however, a few could be moderate – heavy.

Sun – Mostly Sunny – High 63 / Sun Night – Clear – Low 42
High pressure will build in behind the cold front, filtering in a reinforcing jolt of cooler air from our northwest. This will result in highs in the lower 60s, with the feel to the air a few degrees cooler, thanks to the northerly breeze.

That’s all I’ve got, folks. I’ll be back this afternoon with one final update for the work week. Have a great Friday.
