November Takes off with Cooler Temperatures

Good morning everyone! Happy November! After a wet weekend, cooler temperatures are here to stay as we begin the month. We’ll be discussing how cool temperatures will be below. Let’s dive into the forecast!

Today

Sunshine looks to make a return today (yay) after a wet, dreary weekend. Temperatures look to be approaching 60 degrees for a high temperature, making the afternoon rather pleasant. The rest of the day looks to be mostly cool. This should certainly allow our area to finish drying out from active weekend weather. An isolated shower may try to popup Monday night, but any showers that form should be short-lived, as another weak front passes through.

Tomorrow

Tuesday looks to be similar to Monday, with some clouds being brought into the mix. High temperatures look to be around 53 degrees, thanks to the front mentioned above. Tuesday night looks to have low temperatures at around 32 degrees. Yes my friends…. our first freezing temperatures look to arrive on Tuesday night. Make sure to have all outside work done in preparation for frozen temperatures.

Wednesday

Wednesday will be a repeat of Tuesday. High temperatures look to be around 53 degrees, with partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be at around 32 degrees, yet again. Rain looks to make a small return on Wednesday night, and any showers that do form may turn into mixed precipitation by Wednesday night. No accumulations are expected, but some snow flurries may be seen on Wednesday night, so keep an eye out!

Thursday

Some mixed precipitation may continue into Thursday morning, but temperatures should remain above freezing for almost all of the event. Cold rain chances will continue throughout the day, probably similar to what we saw over the weekend (hit and miss light nuisance showers). On Thursday night, some mixed precipitation might be seen again, as lows drop to around, you guessed it, 32 degrees. No accumulations are expected, but some snow flurries may be seen.

Friday

Rain chances drop off on Friday, as temperatures quickly warm up away from the freezing mark. Cloudy skies and cool temperatures will be the story throughout the day on Friday, as high temperatures will be around 52 degrees.

Pumpkin spice season is in full swing ladies and gentlemen. My best advice is to crank up the heat, turn up Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” (Yes, it’s that time of the year again, my friends), and watch the peak of fall foliage across Kentucky. Now that’s a wonder of nature that never ceases to amaze me. That’ll do it for me today. If you need me, I’ll be listening to… no certain song mentioned already in this blog post. Have a great week everyone, and as always, follow our socials @wxornotbg for the latest weather updates.
