Isolated Showers Possible Today

Good Saturday morning WABBLES! Hope you are ready for the weekend as temperatures are on the rise! The good news is that we should be mostly dry this weekend but we are watching a few isolated rain chances.

Today

As of 6:30am this morning we have a few showers across Southern Kentucky this morning. This activity is light and is expected to taper off as we approach the noontime hours. Unfortunately, this activity is light and will not bring any beneficial rain to the area.

Future radar also shows a few isolated showers or storms popping up this afternoon. Most folks are expected to stay dry but may have to dodge some rain through the rest of today. Partly sunny skies will filter the skies this afternoon. Also, more sunshine means better chances we see some storms pop up.

Temperatures will top out neat 90 this afternoon. Again, rain chances are still very low so get out and enjoy the weekend!

Sunday

Temperatures on Sunday will start creeping more and more into the 90s under mostly sunny skies. If you are spending long periods of time outdoors this weekend remember to take frequent breaks and stay hydrated.

Next Week

Next week we will start to see Gulf of Mexico moisture start to return northward into the Ohio Valley. This means muggier days and increased rain chances. We will have isolated chances most of next week, but folks will stay drier than not.

PWATs (moisture)

Late next week we should start to see rain chances ramp up across the area. Hopefully, this brings a much more beneficial rain to the area As we have not received more than 1/2″ in a while. Here is the CPC outlook for days 6-10 (late next week).
