Small Rainfall Deficit with Temps Heating Up

Good Friday morning WABBLES! We have a rather calm pattern overhead right now and that will likely continue through the weekend. Temperatures are starting to heat up so get ready for a return to more summer like weather. We also have a bit of dry spell on our hands.

Even though it won't be in the 90s again this week, the AC will still be nice. (Giphy)

Today & Saturday

Temperatures today are going to top-out in the upper 80s with moisture starting to increase. We will be watching for an isolated shower or weak storm this afternoon but chances look low. Best chances for activity will most likely stay to our east.

Saturday will be almost a carbon copy of the today with highs approaching the 90s and that rogue shower/storm chances around. Here is the rainfall forecast for the next 48 hours and you can see where the best chances will setup across Eastern Kentucky.

Sunday

Sunday will be more of the same with highs in the low 90s but sunny skies should dominate across the region. You can see below how the heat is going to start building in from the west.

Small Rainfall Deficit

Overall it is going to be a nice weekend so get out and enjoy it! The bad news about this all is that we do need the rain. We have yet to receive our first drop in August and the WABBLES region is already pretty dry.

There is quite the hole of over central Kentucky and looking at the for cast for the NEXT 7 days it does not look promising. Most locations struggling to get over .10″ of rain, although better storm chances may arrive Wed-Thurs so we will have to see.

We will start to see southerly flow build back in next week which will not only increase our temperatures but also our humidity. Again, fingers crossed we start to see rain and storm chances increase as well.

That will do it for today! We hope you have a great weekend across WABBLES! You can follow us on all our social media pages for the latest information! @wxornotbg
