The Weekend Ends on a Monotonous Note

Good morning, everyone! If you woke up hoping for a break from the constant chances of showers and storms that we have had this entire week, we are sorry to tell you that today is not the day. Neither is tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after…But, that only gives you an excuse to start a new show on a streaming service, right?

We’re all ready for this trend to stop…(GIPHY)

Somber Sunday

Today, our region remains ahead of a cold front, right in the sweet spot of chances of showers and storms. That means cloud cover will be overbearing with minimal pockets of sunshine. If you have been wanting to start a show, today is the perfect day to do so.

Projected cloud cover for the entirety of today (Pivotal Weather)

There is a chance that portions of our community will have showers and storms start up in the morning. Nonetheless, chances will increase by the afternoon and stick around into the night. Our main concern will be with the potential for localized flooding, so make sure to drive with caution.

Projected precipitation totals for the entirety of today (Pivotal Weather)

For the day, our temperatures will peak in the lower 80’s in the afternoon and drop to the lower 70’s in the evening. On top of that, there will be lots of moisture in the air, promoting oppressive humidity. If you are out and about today, make sure to stay hydrated.

New Week Calls for a Not-So-New Forecast

For the start of the new week, chances of showers and storms will carry on, but will be on the decline as we approach mid-week. For Monday, we will have widespread showers from the afternoon until the evening. Once again, the main threat will be localized flooding, so be mindful of this on the commute home from work.

Projected precipitation for Monday from 7am to 7pm (Pivotal Weather)

For each day up to the mid-week, the temperature and humidity will be about the same as today. As cloud cover decreases into the week, both heat and ultraviolet (UV) indices will be on the rise. Therefore, if you plan to spend time outdoors, make sure to prepare beforehand by keeping sunblock (SPF 15+), protective clothing and accessories, and water on hand.

Projected dew points for Tuesday from 7am to 7pm (Pivotal Weather)

That’ll do it for today! We hope that you have a wonderful rest of your weekend! For more, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
