Good morning, everyone! We’ve finally been able to enjoy a few days back in the 70s after a long stretch of cooler weather. For your Sunday, we embark on the start of an active weather pattern which will also end up leading us into summer-like temperatures later on this week.
Shower Chances Today
As of this hour, we are seeing some light to moderate showers begin to move across the WABBLES region. This is a result of a warm frontal boundary positioning itself right over our area.
On and off rain showers will be the story of the day because of this boundary. Regardless, conditions will be mostly cloudy throughout the day with a high in the low 70s. Some folks look like they will have a small window before sunset to see some peaks of sunshine, however.
Overnight, isolated showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible, but again, conditions will remain mostly cloudy.
More Sunshine, But Pesky Showers Still a Slight Threat
For your Monday, we will see more sunshine than we will end up seeing today, making for a relatively pleasant start to the work week. However, hit and miss showers are still a threat as we have plenty of moisture and unstable air shooting up from the Gulf of Mexico into our neck of the woods. I said “relatively” above because this moisture is going to make the air feel pretty muggy.
This humid air will be conducive for pop-up showers and storms Monday and Tuesday but will by no means “ruin the day”. In fact, some folks in the area could go without seeing anything. The high temperatures will be in the high 70s, even knocking on the door of 80 degrees!
Late Week Trends
Looking ahead to the late week, WABBLES will be enjoying a huge surge of summer-like temperatures up near 90 degrees by the upcoming weekend. On top of this, from about Wednesday on, we will enjoy a plethora of sunshine.
That’s all for today! Thanks for reading and be sure to follow our live weather feed, @wxornotBG, on Twitter and on our other social media outlets.
