Oppressive Humidity Sets In

Thanks to the approaching low pressure to our west, the chance of showers and storms will arise this afternoon and into the evening. Fortunately, the brunt of the precipitation looks to take place after the evening commute. Regardless, we encourage for you to remain cautious when on the roadways.

For today, we will have both hot and oppressively humid air funneling into our community. Our high will reach, and potentially surpass, the 80 degree mark. All the while, dew point’s will stick around (quite literally) in the mid to upper 60’s. If you plan on spending time outdoors, make sure to stay hydrated.

Beware Of Gusty Winds

Tomorrow, chances of showers and storms will remain from the cold front moving through our region. Rainfall will be consistent, but outstanding right around the time of the evening commute. Be mindful of slick roadways because of this.

Moreover, the passage of the cold front will bring about the potential for gusty winds. This concern will be prominent from the morning (~9AM) to the start of the evening (~5PM). We may see gusts reach as high as 35 miles per hour, so be sure to secure any outdoor furniture or decor.

Overnight, this system will move out, allowing for an influx of sunshine and dry conditions. For Friday and into the weekend, temperatures will once more begin to crank up. Enjoy this, as the start of next week looks to start out wet!
