Good Monday morning to all, and welcome to a new week! It has been quite the active period of weather we’ve had recently. Spring came roaring in like a lion! Luckily, we will have more lamb-like weather coming instead as we have much calmer weather in store for this week.
Beautiful Monday & Tuesday in Store
The combination of clear skies and calm winds, temperatures were able to drop to near freezing last night and create some frosty conditions this morning! Once the sun comes up though, we will see those temperatures skyrocket back into the low 60’s.
Plentiful sunshine will be largely responsible for that jump in temperature. Sunny conditions and a taste of quiet weather are in store for us today. A nice way to start the work week! Temps cool back down overnight into the low 40’s.
Tuesday we’ll see another beautiful day with more plentiful sunshine and temperatures in the low 70’s! Very comfortable weather if you ask me.
Showers Move in Tues. Night
By the time Tuesday evening rolls around, a cold front will be approaching from the west which will churn up the atmosphere and bring more showers to the region.
While it won’t be anything severe (thank goodness), it could still be a solid, but short-lived rain event. Showers look to become more widespread overnight and linger into the morning hours on Wednesday. Right now totals are aiming at between a half and three-quarters of an inch.
Lingering showers could stick around for some of the day Wednesday, so a chance of rain isn’t ruled out. Otherwise, conditions will remain generally cloudy. Highs Wednesday also cool back down into the mid 50’s.
Unseasonable, chilly weather looks to stick around through the end of the week as well, but the sun looks to make a return along with the quiet conditions.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great Monday!
