Temperatures will gradually warm into the upper 20s this afternoon. You can see on our Lovers Lane skycam shows the clear skies that are present. We should see some melting today with full sun expected, so that is the good news.

Temperatures will drop into the single digits again tonight. This will likely happen because of the calm winds and clear skies.

Mostly Dry Weekend Ahead

All day Saturday and most of the day Sunday are looking dry across Southern Kentucky. Temperatures should finally make their way above freezing Saturday afternoon for the first time in 9 days!

High temperatures on Saturday (Pivotal Weather)

Full sunshine is expected again Saturday so let the melting continue! Winds will stay calm so the wind chill should not be to bad across the area. Lows drop into the low 20s Saturday night while staying dry.

Sunday we will see more of the same but temperatures will be well into the 40s come Sunday afternoon. Mostly sunny skies are expected again until clouds begin to increase late afternoon.

Rain Chances Late Sunday

We see our next storm system begin to approach late Sunday and into Monday. ALL RAIN is expected with this next system so we should be able to get rid of a lot of the ice and snow by early next week.

Radar look Sunday night – Monday

We should see rainfall totals on the order of 0.25-0.50″. While flooding is not expected, we will need to keep an eye on any area creek and stream rises because of the snow and ice. The rain should be out of here by Monday afternoon.

Rainfall totals through Monday

Again no severe weather is expected with this and certainly no ice or snow.
