Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend on this final day of October. We have cool temperatures to start the morning with some frost across the area. This theme will not give up as below average temperatures continue into November.
Halloween Planner
We are starting off the morning with rather chilly temperatures across the area. Most of the Commonwealth is the mid-low 30s. Frost is definitely going to be a widespread issue for most areas.
The good news is that we warm up nicely into the the low 60s this afternoon. Warm southerly flow will be present with high pressure to our northeast and a developing storm system to our northwest.
Temperatures this evening will be in the 50s for those out Trick or Treating. It will be a nice evening to sit around the fire! Lows tonight drop down into the upper 40s.
Breezy Conditions Sunday
A cold front is going to pass through Sunday morning bring temperatures down for our Sunday. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low 50s which is about 10 degrees cooler than Saturday. A few sprinkles can’t be ruled out but mostly dry conditions are expected.
The pressure gradient behind the front will tighten allowing gusting winds to persist throughout the day. Winds gusts as high as 35mph will be possible. We should see the winds relax as we head into overnight Sunday.
Freeze Watch Monday
A Freeze Watch goes into effect Sunday night through Monday morning across the area. We are expecting the growing season to end which means this product is only issued once. If you have potted plants outside it will be best if you can bring them in.
Temperatures should dip down into the upper 20s across all of the WABBLES area. This will be the coldest morning lows we have seen so far this season!
Gradual Warming Next Week
We will see temperatures stay below average most of next week. Although, we will be gradually warming through the week into the upper 60s. It is looking like a nice week overall!
