Good morning, South-Central Kentucky! Welcome to a new week! Fall lovers, rejoice, because fall weather is officially here! After some warmer weekend weather, we can expect a cool and dry pattern this week.
Cold Front Charges Through Today
The story of the day is the cold front that is expected to move through during the morning hours. As of 6:30 AM, Bowling Green is sitting at 64°, and we won’t get much warmer than that. We will experience a morning high near 70°, but temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 50’s during the day.
We will also see some rain move through this morning, but it shouldn’t stick around long. However, with that we could also see some pretty gusty winds upwards of 20 mph.
Things should start to calm down as we head into the overnight hours, but our lows will drop to around 50°. That’s chilly!
Drier Weather Takes Over
By the time we get to Tuesday, high pressure will take over and keep us dry for a while. We can expect to see more sunshine, but some clouds will still linger behind. Temperatures will also remain cooler in the mid 60’s.
The clouds look to move out by Wednesday and leave us with plentiful sunshine! Temperatures continue to remain below average around 70°, making Wednesday a downright beautiful fall day!
Cool Fall Temps Close Out the Week
Thursday and Friday are forecasted to remain cool and dry as we start to see cooler daytime highs that we haven’t seen since early spring. It’s time for sweater weather!
