Pop-Up Showers Likely From Hurricane Sally

Happy Wednesday to you! Thank you for checking out our page. Soon, Sally will make landfall as a category two hurricane. We won’t have much to worry about, other than some pop-up showers in the evening. For the most part, today will be another comfortable day!

Look at that beauty!

Trough Is to Blame

Today, we will have those pleasant conditions that we’ve seen carry over for most of the day. This is from the high pressure system that’s dwindling over the east coast, circulating those comfortable temperatures that we live for! Expect for temperatures to peak in the low 80’s and fall to the upper 60’s.

We won’t see any sort of activity in association with Sally until the evening, where a trough from the tropical cyclone will impact our forecast. Generally, along these kinds of boundaries of elongated low pressure, chances for showers and storms are likely. We will see just that!

Surface map for 7pm (Weather Prediction Center)

Fortunately, we will only have to worry about minimal showers popping up throughout our area. Most of the counties that make up WABBLES may not even have a drop of rain! For counties that do, know that these can start as early as 5pm, but don’t look as if they’ll stick around for long.

Only One Week Left!

Once the remnants of Sally have withered away by tomorrow, the rest of the week will resume to conditions that mark the transition into autumn. From this, we will begin to see the fall of high temperatures into the mid-70’s and even lower, with lows varying in the 50’s. We only have a week left until it’s official!
