Cold Front Nears

The anticipated arrival of the cold front that has been approaching the region for the past few days, will finally move through during the late afternoon/evening hours today. It is what brought us rain yesterday and is what will bring us the chance for rain/storms again this morning.

Models are agreeing that the event won’t be as widespread as initially thought, so just expect the active weather to be scattered. If caught under one of these storms, you could see as much as a half inch of rain this morning. Otherwise, I’m expecting totals to be less.

The rain should be out of here by lunch time and expect gradual clearing to occur throughout the rest of your Sunday. The passing of the cold front will keep our temperatures fairly cool. Expect the high to barely break 80. Overnight, temperatures will dip to about 66 degrees.

Pleasant Weather Returns

Pleasant weather returns, for now, to begin the work week. Although it’ll be Monday, at least the weather will be nice. Mostly sunny skies will dominate with the temperature staying in the low 80s once more. The dew point will also stay at bay making for very comfortable conditions.

This map probably doesn’t look familiar to folks because we are used to being in the purple. However, dew points stay low putting us in a new color 🙂 (Pivotal Weather)

The region stays dry up until about Tuesday/night Wednesday when our next rain chances return. Get this, by the end of this week, we will have entered a span of high temps being in the 70s for multiple days. How nice does that sound?

That’s all for today. Thanks for reading! Be sure to follow our live weather feed on twitter, @wxornotBG, for real time weather updates. Have a great start to the week!
