Gutters will be overflowing for some later today.

Today

We are mostly dry to start off the morning across WABBLES with rain focused to our north along the river. A few showers or storms are possible through the morning hours, but the heaviest should hold off until later this afternoon.

Hit or miss torrential downpours

Rainfall amounts will be very wide-ranged today as storms will move very little. A few areas may receive 1-2in+ while others receive little to nothing. Storms chances will be about 60-70% percent this afternoon. Temperatures make it to mid 80s this afternoon.

Marginal risk for flash flooding today

The flash flooding risk will remain very localized with the greatest threat closer to the hills and valleys of the Appalachians. Remember to avoid flooded road ways and never dry through one. It only takes 1 foot of moving water to sweep a car way.

Turn Around Don’t Drown!

Weekend Ahead

The weekend is looking drier than the last few days but will have to watch for a few scattered storms. The heat and humidity will still be around through Sunday as we await the passing of a cold front near the end of the weekend

Scattered storms Saturday afternoon

Storm chances Saturday will be 30-40% while temperatures make it to the mid-80s. Partly cloudy skies will be present with storms most likely dying out by sunset.

Cold front approaching on Sunday

Sunday we watch a cold front approach from the north and may see a few isolated storms otherwise we should stay mostly dry. Rain chances will be 20-30% with temperatures close to 85 degrees. We are still going to be hot and humid with relief on the way early next week.

Cool Off Next Week

We will see the cold front move through late Sunday and into Monday bringing much more comfortable air to the area. Dewpoints into the low 60s will feel amazing!

The humidity looks to drop! (Pivotal Weather)

The temperature outlook for next week is showing very favorable odds for below-average temperatures. Highs in the mid to low 80s with low humidity will make for a nice week.

Below normal temperatures next week! (CPC)

This nice stretch of weather will last through most of the week. Towards the weekend we should start to see the humidity return and the temperatures crank back up.
