A Weekend Warmup and Sunny Skies!

Happy Thursday, Bowling Green! I hope everyone is enjoying their first full week of August. After a relatively cool week so far, temperatures are on the rise for the upcoming weekend. Drier weather sticks around as well, with an abundance of sunshine in store!

Today Looks Beautiful!

After a cool start to our day in the lower 60s, temperatures quickly rebound into the low 80s this afternoon. Sunshine will be plentiful, with only a few scattered passing clouds. Dew points today will be modest for this time of year as well, so get outside and enjoy it if you can!

Rain chances for today, as well as for the next several days are very low. This is due in part to the influence of high pressure across the Ohio Valley, keeping things quiet across the Commonwealth for the time being.

Into The Weekend…

For your Friday: Things look quiet Friday, as W.A.B.B.L.E.S. continues to stay under the influence of high pressure. Highs will be slightly warmer, topping out in the upper 80s. Humidity will be more noticeable as well.

Saturday: As we start the weekend, the heat and humidity begin to return. It’ll be noticeably warmer than the days prior, with highs in the lower 90s across south-central Kentucky. Sunshine will dominate the sky overhead, with only a few passing clouds.

Slight Chance of Afternoon Storms Sunday

As we move into the balk half of the weekend, the (slight) chance for showers and thunderstorms returns for W.A.B.B.L.E.S. This is due in part to the return of that pesky heat and humidity that is oh-so-common this time of year. Highs will be in the lower 90s area-wide.

That’ll do it for your Thursday. Enjoy the sunshine this weekend, but remember to stay hydrated and wear proper sun protection! Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and check out our new stories on Instagram!
