Unseasonable Sunday

Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s been pretty wet around here lately but today’s forecast offers a change. Normally, this time of year is dry and HOT. As we round out the first weekend of August, we will see an unseasonable Sunday.

Dry and Cool Today

Today, we will catch a break from the rain as conditions look to stay mostly dry. We’re in between two low pressure systems off to the Northwest and Northeast due to a deep trough, so I can’t completely rule out a stray shower or two.

With this being said, that passing cold front associated with the first low pressure will keep our temperatures cool. In fact, our high for the day will only rise to about 82 degrees. That’s almost 10 degrees below the average for this day!

In terms of cloud cover, we’ll be partly cloudy and as we approach the evening, I think those clouds will begin to thin out. Overnight, we will remain clear, and dip down to 65 degrees.

Things sound like they will pan out to create a very pleasurable Sunday for the beginning of August.

Chance For Rain Returns

As that second cold front approaches WABBLES, out ahead of it will be showers and storms firing. This will come into play for our forecasts on Monday and Tuesday.

Only about 0.2 inches of accumulated rain at the end of Tuesday.

Monday will be mostly sunny with increased chances of rain and storms in the afternoon. Tuesday is shaping up to look similar. Temperatures still will remain well below normal with Tuesday barely cracking 80.

That’s all for today’s post, everyone. Thanks for reading. Be sure to follow our twitter @wxornotBG, and on instagram and facebook. Have a great week!
