Welcome to WxornotBG, everyone! Glad you could join us this morning. We are truly in the midst of the dog days of summer, and it looks like we’ll be here a while. However, showers linger through the forecast this week.
Pop-Up Showers Return
With dew points still unbearably high and a new stationary boundary to our north, conditions become favorable for those afternoon pop-up thunderstorms again.
We will start off the day under partly cloudy skies, however, just long enough to heat our air temperatures into the low 90’s. Be cautioned, though, because heat indices could reach the low 100’s! Stay hydrated!
As we approach nightfall, things start to cool off and any showers will begin to dissipate. Nighttime lows will end up in the low 70’s under partly cloudy skies.
More Organized Showers Come Later This Week
Another scorcher comes on Tuesday as highs once again reach the low 90’s. However, a chance at some relief comes during the afternoon hours when another round of pop-up showers fire during the afternoon hours.
Wednesday offers a little different forecast for once. Temperatures are still expected to be hot, around 90°, but a more organized rain pattern is forecasted to move through.
It won’t be anything significant, but it will offer some relief from the heat. And it’s something other than those pesky pop-ups!
Average Summer Conditions Return
As we start thinking about the end of this week, temperatures are forecasted to remain near normal, which is 90° for late July. We can also expect the daily dose of pop-up showers, brought to us by the muggy dew points. Typical summer weather!
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great start to the week!
