A Weekend of Sunshine Ahead

Good morning folks! The weekend is finally here, and with it comes lots and lots of sunshine! The weather around here looks to be quiet for the entirety of the weekend, as well as into early next week. Yes, you read it right. Your mind is not deceiving you, there’s NO RAIN in the forecast!

A Dry Stretch

Due to the influence of high pressure across the Commonwealth, a dry, inactive pattern is ahead for the foreseeable future. Several forecast models even suggest no precipitation accumulation over the next 5-7 days. This will allow for an abundance of sunshine, so please get out and enjoy the outdoors! (This is also a good time to mention that using sunscreen is vital for the health and safety of yourself, and your loved ones.)

Unseasonably Cool Temperatures

While temperatures will be near average for this time of year today, unseasonably cool temperatures will prevail to wrap up the weekend. In fact, some places may struggle to reach 80 degrees Sunday (especially our northern-most counties). Dew points will be more reasonable too, with indices in the high 50 to low 60-degree range over the coming days. Regardless of temperature, however, if you find yourself active outdoors for extended periods, remember to stay hydrated!
