Staying Soggy Over the Next Few Days

Good morning, y’all! Welcome to Thursday. The typical, wet spring pattern has returned to WABBLES, and it has kept us thoroughly drenched. Even though the mercury will be rising, we’ll be staying soggy over the next few days.

Pop-Up Showers Possible

The main story here lately has been the pop-up showers associated with the low pressure swirling around Kentucky over the past few days. These showers are very hit or miss, and we’ll be seeing more of them today.

Like usual, the highest chance for some showers and thunderstorms will be during the afternoon hours, when temperatures are the warmest. Speaking of which, highs today look to warm up into the low 70’s.

Showers should move out as evening approaches and we head into the overnight hours, with lows dropping into the mid 50’s.

Staying Drizzly, but Warmer

As we head into Friday and the weekend, the showers and dreary weather won’t leave us alone. Clouds look to linger for the days to come, but on the plus side, our temperatures will be getting warmer.

Friday will showcase much of the same weather, with scattered showers developing in the afternoon. However, our high temperatures will end up in the upper 70’s, which is near average for this time of year.

The same story hold for Saturday, the only change being our highs will warm even more into the low 80’s. Otherwise, expect more afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Memorial Day Looks…Wet

Are you surprised? Me neither. As we head into the new week and Memorial Day, the lingering low pressure is kicked out by our next weather maker from the west. Temperatures stay warm, however, so maybe not all Memorial Day plans are out of the picture.
