Mostly Dry Conditions for Mother’s Day

Good morning, everyone! More specifically, good morning to all the mom’s out there! We are waking up to morning two of patchy frost across the region and, I have to say, I’m ready for these frigid temperatures to get out of here. WABBLES will see mostly dry conditions for Mother’s Day but check out below to get all the temperature details!

Surface map analysis for today (wpc)

Mother’s Deserve Nothing But the Best

Every mother is deserving of nothing but the best so what better way to respect that than with sunny skies. I think it is fair to say that the sun often brings out smiles and every mom deserves to smile on her special day, so, you’re welcome, mom! Indeed, WABBLES will see a decent amount of sunshine today.

A cold front as a result of a low pressure system just south of Michigan has the potential to bring us maybe a few rain drops in the afternoon. We’re talking trace amounts so it shouldn’t put a damper in your plans. In terms of temperature, expect the high to climb to about 69 degrees.

At the most, Bowling Green could 0.1 inches of rain in the afternoon. (Pivotal Weather)

While the forecast sounds almost dreamy thus far for every mother, the wind will be the antagonist in this fairytale story. Bowling Green is metaphorically positioned in a grind wheel between two systems causing it to be quite breezy today. Expect sustained winds to be about 12-17mph with gusts close to 29mph.

This map shows the max wind gust to be around 29mph in the WABBLES region (Pivotal Weather)

Overnight, we will remain mostly clear and once again dip down into the frigid upper 30s for a low of 38 degrees.

More Sun on Monday

An area of high pressure will move towards the region on Monday resulting in sunny skies for most of the day. The high pressure will help to keep the winds calm. We reach a below average high of 60 degrees…but hey at least it’s not raining.

In the evening, clouds will build in making for mostly cloudy conditions. Expect the clouds to dominate the sky throughout the night on Monday with a low temperature of 41 degrees. That low is slowly but surely going up, woohoo!

In the mid-late week, expect temperatures to warm up into the low 80s while shower and thunderstorm chances increase.
