Showers with Cool Temperatures For Today

Good morning, everyone! I don’t know about you, but this month went by with the blink of an eye. As we head into the last week of April, we will ring it in accompanied by showers with cool temperatures for today.

Sunday Soaker

The low-pressure system that brought us rain showers yesterday and into the overnight will again do the same for most of the day today. As the system passes through, the wind too will pick up. We’re looking at sustained winds between 15 and 18mph with gusts up to 30mph out of the northwest. Expect the high to climb to a cool 55 degrees.

This map shows the max wind gust at about 31mph in Warren County. (Pivotal Weather)

The showers should be out of the region by dinner time and clearing will begin from there. The low will dip down to a chilly 39 degrees.

Picture Perfect Monday

The clearing Sunday night due to high pressure building in will usher in dry air and will make for a gorgeous day on Monday. It’ll be full of sun, sun, and more sun! Temperatures will reach 67 degrees making for a chance to break that 70 degree mark.

Monday night, conditions will be partly cloudy and temperatures will fall to a much more seasonable 49 degrees for the low.

Dry but Cloudy For Tuesday

Tuesday I am thinking that we will continue to stay dry, but I can’t fully rule out a shower here and there. The clouds will build back in on Tuesday, out ahead of the next weather-making system. This will bring the region mostly cloudy skies for the day. The high will be a mild 73 degrees.

Tuesday night, showers and thunderstorms ramp up making for a very wet, maybe even loud, night. The low will drop down to about 57 degrees.

Expect the showers to carry over on Wednesday.
