Temperatures Trend Warmer Through the Weekend

Welcome to Thursday, everyone! Glad you could stop by today. We’re finally into April, but our temperatures recently definitely did not feel like it. Now that we have some sunshine, temperatures will trend warmer through the weekend.

Cooler Today

The past two days were downright chilly, falling about 10° below average for the start of April. Normally, we sit at around 66°. We won’t get that warm today either, but we’ll get closer with highs reaching the low 60’s.

A high pressure will park itself over the Ohio River region and bring a period of drier weather to the WABBLES area. The sun returns today which will help fuel the warming trend we’ll see this weekend. A few clouds are possible, but otherwise we’ll see mostly sunny skies.

Getting Warmer

Long story short, it will be a beautiful weekend. Just remember to social distance responsibly! The mercury will climb a little higher on Friday to near 70° under mostly sunny skies. Now we’re starting to feel more like April!

Similar conditions will be in store for Saturday, but changes will come Saturday night. We will see more sunshine during the day, and temperatures will hang out around 70° as well, but a cold front will arrive overnight.

A cold front will move through Saturday night bringing a chance of rain. Temperatures will stay warm, though. (Pivotal Weather)

It doesn’t look like we’ll get much rainfall from this front, but the chance is there for a few showers. It won’t change much temperature-wise, as we’ll jump back into the mid 70’s for the start of the new week.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the sunny weather!
