Rain Returns For the New Week

Good morning! I hope everyone has enjoyed the first few days of spring and that you’ve been able to get outside to enjoy it. Yesterday evening was quite beautiful across the region in particular. Unfortunately, it won’t be long before rain returns for the new week.

Sun Stays Away on Sunday

As you wake up and begin your day expect to see cloudy skies. As we head throughout the day, however, expect rain chances to increase as result of a surface low making its way across the Ohio Valley. I’m thinking we will stay mostly dry throughout most of the day with those widespread showers moving in around the evening hours. The high will reach around 57 degrees with calm winds out of the East.

Those showers will continue into the overnight hours with the low dropping to about 45 degrees.

Monday Rain and Clouds

A few rain showers from Sunday night will continue into the morning hours. We should be dry by lunchtime with lingering clouds for the rest of the day and the sun trying to make a few appearances here and there. Expect the high to reach 61 degrees.

Into the overnight, we will remain dry serving as a breather before more wet weather moves in on Tuesday. I’m thinking we’ll dip down to about 45 degrees.

Rain and Storms on Tuesday

The rain returns for your Tuesday, this time bringing thunderstorms with it. Showers are likely for the day with the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon. We are closely watching this system as it could produce severe weather throughout the WABBLES region. The Storm Prediction Center has already highlighted the area for this likelihood.

We will hit a high of 66 degrees and a low of 52 degrees as showers and storms continue into the overnight hours.

That’s all for now! Stay happy and healthy this week. To receive live updates regarding the potentially severe weather on Tuesday, follow @wxornotBG on Twitter.
