Cloudy and Occasionally Wet Week

Happy Sunday, everyone! So far, it seems that 2020 has seen its fair share of clouds and wet weather. I know we are all looking forward to sunshine and more promising weather, but this week is shaping up to be not much different. Over the next seven days or so, expect this week to be both cloudy and occasionally wet.

Dry But Cloudy Sunday

Yesterday’s system brought cool temperatures, rain, and a bit of a breeze. Luckily, we will see some improvement as we head throughout the day today. I’m thinking we will see a bit of a warm up from yesterday’s chilly conditions with the high reaching the low 50s. Skies will be mostly cloudy and try to clear up but not much progress will be made.

Overnight, expect it to remain mostly cloudy with winds out of the Northeast and the low around 36 degrees.

Break Between Systems on Monday

In the morning hours of the day on Monday, I think we have a chance to see some sunshine. The decreased clouds will reveal partly sunny conditions. We will reach a high of about 59 degrees. However, as we progress throughout the day, the clouds will push back in as the next system looks to arrive.

There’s not much moisture associated with this system but into the evening and overnight, expect skies to be cloudy with a chance of light showers (not cloudy with a chance of meatballs, although that would be very cool.)

Drying Out on Tuesday

The rain should be out of the WABBLES region by around 8 or 9am on Tuesday. We will dry out as high pressure sets in from the Northwest. Though we are dry, those pesky clouds stick around producing mostly cloudy conditions….once again. The high will be in the low 60s.

Like clock work and what seems to be the theme, the next weather-making system will move in Tuesday night/early morning Wednesday. Conditions will remain mostly cloudy overnight with the low at about 45 degrees until this system arrives.

Soggy Wednesday

Wednesday’s system looks to have more moisture associated with it and also the potential for some storms. With some elevated insatbility, some storms could be interesting. Expect the high to be in the low to mid 60s.
